Where it all began it comes full circle! Macca’s back at the Cavern! Paul McCartney rocks out onstage as he delights fans at the iconic club with surprise gig… almost 60 years after it launched The Beatles to superstardom!
The legendary musician, 76, took to the stage for the exclusive gig at the famous venue on Mathew Street, Liverpool, at 2pm on Thursday
Heralded as being the birthplace of the Fab Four, the venue played host to the band, originally known as The Quarrymen, in their early years
Hundreds of fans queued from the early hours of the morning in a bid to secure a coveted ticket
The singer powered through a 24 song, two hour set list including Love Me Do, Get Back, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Helter Skelter and Lady Madonna.

It is an iconic venue which kick-started the rise of The Beatles’ popularity in the UK and led to their fateful meeting with manager Brian Epstein.

And Sir Paul McCartney returned to where his music career began on Thursday with a headline gig at Liverpool’s Cavern Club – more than six decades after the band first took to the stage.

The legendary musician, 76, sent fans into a frenzy as he rocked out onstage during the exclusive gig, held at the famous venue on Mathew Street, Liverpool, at 2pm.
