The Beatles announce Abbey Road 50th anniversary reissue

Details of the much-anticipated 50th anniversary reissue of The Beatles’ Abbey Road have been announced, following weeks of speculation. The album has been remixed from the original multi-track tapes by Giles Martin, son of the album’s producer George Martin. It will be released on 27 September 2019. Abbey Road will be reissued in seven formats, including limited edition four-disc CD/Blu-ray and 3LP box sets. Each format contains Giles Martin’s new stereo remix of the album, and all but two contain bonus demos and outtakes. The formats are: Super deluxe edition containing three CDs and a Blu-ray, plus book Double CD
