Everyone needs to know they’re gonna be alright. Call me the eternal optimist, but I believe we’re going to come out on the other end of this Pandemic better as a people. Just look around you. People helping each other at every turn. What’s keeping that from continuing when this is all over?

Now I know that this is one of the saddest events to happen in my lifetime…and probably in yours. Yes, just under 19 years ago there was the whole 9/11 tragedy and its effect on the world….yet that was basically confined to the U.S. This Pandemic is affecting people in some of the more far flung places on any map.

John Lennon wrote about isolation with his song with that title in 1970. It appeared on his Apple debut solo album John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band. A snippet of the lyrics:

We’re afraid of everyone
Afraid of the sun, isolation
The sun will never disappear
But the world may not have many years, I-isolation

We are are suffering the loneliness of this mandated isolation. I try to find things for me and my wife to do. There’s just so many Netflix series to binge-watch, right? There are jigsaw puzzles (above), board games, etc. But confinement isn’t fun. I’ve been finding more music for Beatlesarama!!! I hope you get a chance to tune in to hear them. Also, I’d love to hear from you and what you’re doing to while away the days and weeks. And let’s all pray that the world will be a better place when the COVID-19 virus is in our rear view mirrors.
